Meet Walkerville

Bro. Greg and Mrs. Shay along with their two children, Mary Katherine and Nathan, joined our fellowship in January 2006.  Bro. Greg is delighted to serve with the remarkable members and staff at this incredible church. He considers it a joy to be at a church that loves Jesus and loves people the way WBC does.  He really looks forward to what the Lord will continue to do in the coming years.

Stephanie Murray

Stephanie joined the staff in March of 2010.  Stephanie grew up at Walkerville and her husband Terry has been a deacon there since 1995.  They have two children and four grandchildren who all attend church at WBC.  Stephanie loves working with the staff and members at Walkerville.

Dana joined the staff in 2023.  Dana and her family have been serving at WBC since 2013 and her husband, Dwayne, has been a  deacon at WBC since January 2025.  They have four children, Lanie, Briley, Karlee & Zander.  Dana is happy to be a part of the WBC staff and church family.

Brandon Shuman

Brandon joined the staff in October 2021.  He and his wife, Spencer, have a beautiful baby girl, Stephanie Grace.  Brandon is doing a great job working with our youth, they have just spent a week at camp and the weekend participating in D-Now.  Brandon is an asset to our staff and is enjoying serving at WBC.

Buddy Griner

Buddy joined the staff in June of 2017.  Buddy along with his wife, Danielle, and five children, Anna, Jasper, Jed, Joshua, and Judah are a great asset to WBC.  Buddy served as Youth Pastor for two years and has since been Associate Pastor. 
 
He grew up in Pierce County Ga., so he is a hometown boy. He graduated in 1990 from Pierce County, then worked as an electrician for ten years. In 1999 he was gloriously saved by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and began his new life. After a few years he followed the leading of the Holy Spirit into a life of preaching and teaching and then Pastoring. He has preached at several churches in our area and has pastored two churches, Faith Temple in Waycross, Ga. and Pine Grove Baptist Church in Blackshear Ga. 

Mark Herrin

Mark joined our staff in October 2018. Mark, his wife, April, and daughter Ava joined our fellowship where Mark served as Youth Director for three years and became music director in September 2021.  He leads our congregation in contemporary music and hymns.
 
Mark is part of a Christian band called The Bearded Moose and they do revivals, youth events, etc. traveling over several states.
