Serve

Walkerville Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Walkerville Baptist Church.

Ages 4-Grade 5 are in our Kid’s Ministry.  They meet in their age-appropriate class for Sunday School and on Wednesday nights.  Kid’s Ministry leader is Beth Barber, 912-282-6051.

“The youth ministry of Walkerville Baptist Church exists to provide a place where youth can grow in their faith, serve others in love, bring lost friends into the family of Christ, enjoy time spent with other believers, and honor the Lord with our lives and worship.”

Youth have opportunities to minister through mission work, attending weekend camps, and other fun and ministry-oriented events throughout the year. On Wednesday nights at 6:30pm, youth meet for their weekly time of fellowship and bible study. Challenging and practical studies are offered to help the youth grow closer in their walk with Christ.  All youth from grades 6-12 are welcome to join us

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of Walkerville Baptist Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for early aged young people. They meet during Sunday School and on Wednesday nights for Bible Study.

Philippians 2:4

Being a godly woman is hard in a culture that constantly tells us we have to look, act, and be a certain way. Women of Walkerville (WOW) exists to help you develop friendships and find the network of support that all women need in order to love God, our families, and our community.

Our women’s small groups are a place of prayer, accountability, and deep connections.

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
